As always, it's never a dull moment with our friends and family. As always the new stories continue for our Daily Updates.
"As the Vows Burn" was a most interesting storyline until just recently "All My Lizards" came up. To say that "All My Lizards" is chocked full of juicy story lines. "As the Vows Burn" is full of plot twists and turns.
On other news, a girlfriend of mine finally moved out of mommy place and she's with child who is due next month, just 8 days after her mommy's birthday. We look forward to the news of the birth of baby Emma in the month to come.
Better News, my middle sister has found that life after divorce includes MEN. She's only been dating him for a few weeks, let's see if he manges to survive my father. Then he can try and survive me. I'm just surprised she found that men do have some good uses. i.e. getting that jar of jelly open, getting things off the very top shelf...

What can be said, except Life Goes On Day By Day.
Just last night I listened to my daughter say the names of the bones in the arm, hand, and shoulder. It's amazing to hear such a complicated word come out of her mouth. Then we catch her singing her own version of the Red Dwarf song. It was very cute.
The war continues to find a job for myself and my mate. I get all the interviews and he gets the better sounding job possibilities. Go Figure. But I wish him the best in this hunt.
I am happy to report that I had the time of my life at the International Gem & Jewlery Show this past weekend. MJ and myself had a blast looking at different types of bali silver and such. We found the cutest design in pewter bali beads, little skulls in siver, gold and copper. They are so cute! MJ went crazy over them. They are by far the most adorable thing we got a the show. Except for the Dragon Shaped Trinket Box, Emperor Penguin box, and the Camel boxes we picked up. They were so cute, and very inexpensive as well.
I only do the bead show 4x a year, it's my one major treat to myself and I just LOVE going. And since having Mariko, I love the fact that my mate is willing to tackle the little tyke for the time we are gone. He's the best, and she just LOVES her daddy.
Things are crazy with all my friends, I have one who's due next month with her first child, one getting married, one married, one doing a Clive Bette act with his mother the Dragon. Then there's the gang in L.A. Two still live at home with the folks, one works for Home Despot and can't find a date to save his life. The other is an enigma all in himself and Electrical Engineer/Buddhist Monk/School Teacher. Both need dates in the worst way. Then there's the other two, both Married, one staying in his hopeless marriage for the kids, and the other leaving his marriage because he fell out of love with his wife.
Then there's the friend across the way, she's lost the love of her life, she's lost all hope for happiness. We don't see much of her except for a couple times a year, but we are always there for her when she reaches out. Just wish we could turn her hurt into hope.

What a Week, What a Day, Where did the year go?
Already it's Friday once again and it's hard to believe it's September 2006. Only 3 more months to go and it will be 2007 before we know it.
Last weekend we surprised the hubby with his friends coming up for a visit. Everyone had a wonderful time. I'm told my meals were a smash hit. So glad to know that Lasagna would turn out so great.
The guys spent the weekend just hanging out. And being mauled by our 2-1/2 year old a well. She just loves her Uncles.
This weekend is the Gem & Jewlery Show where I get to run away from home for the day. I must walk until my feet hurt and I have the time of my life. This trip will be for supplies for Christmas Gifts and such. Also to see what new goodies this bead happy dragon can hoard for herself.
For the most part, all is well in the world of Kat's

I am happy to say that I have finally completed the first stages of my Ikebana classes. I have finally completed the fourth certificate of the Sogetsu School of Ikebana. I am so happy about that. I've been working on it for over 7 years and I have finally done it.
Basically at this point I am a teacher's aid, and if I take the next 80 classes I would be a 1st level Instructor. A very tempting prospect, however, at this time I do not have the time to complete it.
After all, I am the mother of a 2-1/2 year old little girl who now takes up most of my days and nights. She's smart as a whip, and stubern as a mule. But she's our little girl
